This article contains useful information regarding Sinch TFN (Toll Free Pricing) pricing in the US and Canada.   Disclaimer: Prices shown on this page are only indications and may be subject to change. Contact a Sinch Account Manager for the most up to date pricing.   Contact Sinch to discuss the most up-to-date costs, and to calculate costs related to your business needs.   What is TFN? Toll-Free numbers (TFN) are telephone numbers with distinct three-digit area codes that can be dialled from US and Canadian landlines with no charge to the caller. Toll-Free numbers begin with one of the following three-digit codes: 800, 888, 877, 866, 855, 844 or 833.    Toll-Free numbers are particularly common for customer-service calling. Toll-Free service has traditionally provided customers with a free and convenient way to contact businesses (wireless callers, however, will be charged for the airtime minutes used during a Toll-Free call unless they have an "unlimited calling" plan). Toll-Free numbers can also be text-enabled so businesses and customers can communicate via SMS and MMS messages.   Text-enabling a Toll-Free number won’t have any effect on your voice services on that number. Voice and messaging on a Toll-Free number run completely independently from one other; thus, you can enable voice via one provider and messaging via another provider, like Sinch.  If you don’t have a Toll-Free number for your business yet, Sinch can set up a new one for you, and provide both voice and messaging services.   What are the additional costs related to TFN? There is no cost to verify a Toll-Free number.   Carrier fees Per message carrier fees will be charged in addition to the Sinch per message fees. Carrier Message Fees apply to all messages sent to Sinch and accepted by the Sinch platform. The Carrier Message Fees are subject to change by the Carriers. Registering an alphanumeric sender ID from the Sinch Customer Dashboard is quick and easy! Log in to the Sinch Customer Dashboard and select SMS from the left menu.     From the SMS menu, select Sender IDs > GET STARTED and follow the steps outlined below:   Select destination from 40+ markets: Based upon the market that you select a fee may be charged for Sender ID registration and you may be asked some additional questions. Click NEXT STEP. Specify the business profile, company and Sender ID details of your request: Select the details of an existing business profile or create a new one. Enter your company details including your company name and website address.  Enter your sender ID details, including alphanumeric Send ID and the purpose of your traffic. Confirm that your business has a valid use case for the Sender ID. Click NEXT STEP. An Attachment step may be included depending on which destination market you have selected. This can be used to attach NOC letters and other documents when required (templates available). Add searchable tags to help with filtering requests: Click NEXT STEP. You will be notified by email of updates to your request to the email addresses in your profile. You can also specify any additional emails to track changes and receive status alerts and notifications: To submit your alphanumeric sender ID registration request, click SUBMIT REQUEST or if you want to save your current process and comeback to it later click SAVE AS DRAFT. A confirmation message is displayed informing you that your Sender ID request has been submitted and is under review. You will receive an email when the status changes.
