To create AlimTalk templates on the Sinch Dashboard follow the simple steps outlined below: Go to Sinch Dashboard found ''Kakao Talk section'' and click on ''Alimtalk Templates'' section: Click Create template. Fill all the required information, once completed click Create template. Note: Please do not include any marketing/sales related content in the AlimTalk template. Alimtalk is only allowed for non-marketing information such as important notices, appointment reminders etc. For marketing purposes, please use FriendTalk messages. Learn more about Alimtalk template categories Once you have create the template, you may can find all your Alimtalk Templates in the Alimtalk Template section under Kakao Talk section. Note: Alimtalk template may need up to 3 days for approval, this approval process is done by Kakao Talk not Sinch - you can go ahead and use the template once you see the template has been updated with the ''approved'' status in the status section.

To be able to get an approved template, users need to choose the categories that best describe the Alimtalk message content. This is prevent spamming from the business. If your channel has been inactive for more than a month, KakaoTalk may disable it. Inactivity refers to not engaging with channel followers by sending AlimTalk, FriendTalk, or Consultation Talk messages. What you should do if your channel has been disabled Option 1: If your channel has been disabled due to inactivity, try sending a message from one of your personal KakaoTalk accounts to your disabled business channel. Once you receive the message, reply to it using the test KakaoTalk personal account. Your channel should become active again. Option 2: If you're unable to perform Option 1, contact Sinch support: support@sinch.com ensuring you provide your KakaoTalk business channel ID and Sinch dashboard account details. Our support team will assist you promptly.

If you get the following error from Conversation API: "description": "The underlying channel reported: Button name/mobile link (linkMo) is required for free button-type templates. If template have a WL(webLink), must input linkMo" Please rename the default button names (for example, Link 1 and/or Link 2) to your desired call to action. For the best practice, please also include the Weblink in the button when creating the template. If your KakaoTalk channel is disabled, review the list of potential reasons and remedial actions below: Inactive Usage: If you haven't used your sending profile for an extended period of time after registration, it may become dormant. Action: For Sinch customers: contact Sinch support with your KakaoTalk channel name. Sinch will review the request and and reactivate the channel if it is dormant. Recipient Reporting: Your channel might be blocked if recipients report it. Action: If your channel is blocked, you may be able to initiate the explanation process (depending on the reason). For Sinch customers: contact Sinch support and provide your channel name for assistance.

To prevent other people from using your Kakao Account, you must provide your previously verified phone number when logging into KakaoTalk from a device with a phone number that is different than the one associated with your Kakao Account. Enter the phone number you previously verified for KakaoTalk. Note the following: If KakaoTalk is still installed on your previous device, you can find the previously verified phone number by navigating to Kakao Talk > More > Edit Profile. To protect your Kakao Account, you may attempt to enter your previous phone number up to five times. After five incorrect attempts, you will have to try again later.
