RCS is available on all Android devices. RCS Business Messaging integrates directly with the native messaging app on Android smartphones, such as Messages from Google or Samsung Messages from Samsung.
RBM (RCS Business Messaging) is also available on Android phones.
At its WWDC 2024 Apple announced that its Messages app will support RCS in iOS 18. The new standard will replace SMS as the default communication protocol between Android and iOS devices.
From September 2024 Apple has began to roll out RCS to iPhones as part of iOS 18, but it is not available in all regions or on all carriers but will continue to expand. Click here to see Apples list of support for RCS by carrier.
With the support of RCS in iOS 18.1 it is expected that RBM (RCS Business Messaging) will also be supported.
Note: Both RCS and RBM are in transition from a Google managed service to a Carrier managed service. It is not currently possible to launch RBM agents in all countries or carriers.
