Opt-in is required before a business can send RCS messages to a customer. If opt-on has been collected for SMS, it is also applicable to the same program if it is switched to RCS. No additional consent or updates are required.
Note: Google requires that Opt-in and Opt-out are supported for all RCS agents, even if local carriers and regulations do not.
