When you create your Sinch Customer Dashboard account, a default project is automatically created for you with an associated ProjectID. Sinch uses these projects to group contacts and apps together to connect a unique set of keys and secret IDs to all your Sinch API products. Contacts are shared across apps within the same project. Depending on your needs, you may need to create additional projects to keep contact lists separate.
You can create as many projects as needed for your own organizational purposes. Multiple numbers and multiple brands can connect to one project. In this way, a 10DLC campaign can be connected to multiple numbers.
The key ID is your API key. When sending a call through the API, it lets us know which account to bill. The key secret is an extra layer of security. It is only visible during initial key creation and should be handled with the utmost care.
Important: If you lose your key secret (formerly called the secret ID) you will need to generate a new key.
Access the Sinch Customer Dashboard, click Settings on the left menu, then click Access keys. The Access keys page will display the project ID and Key ID:
The key secret will only display on initial creation of a new key.
If you have any questions, contact Sinch or to reach out to your Sinch Account Manager.
