How does a Viber user initiate a conversation with a business using Viber Business Messaging?
Answer
Unlike Whatsapp, a business using Viber Business Messaging cannot be contacted using a phone number alone.
To enable the Viber user to reach out, the business must provide a URL link of the format : viber://chat?service=<Sender_ID>
This can be placed on their website pages and will trigger the Viber App to launch if it is installed on the users device.
The Sinch Account Manager will be able to provide you with the Business Sender ID.
