LINE Official Accounts are used by businesses to connect with their customers. With an Official Account, you can send general information, sales and marketing activities, and special promotions to your users who are following your channel. Your followers will get notified just like when they get a message from their social network. You can also send direct messages to individual LINE users from your own system.
There are two types of LINE accounts:
- Verified accounts – These are the accounts that have passed LINE’s review process. Once your account has been reviewed, a Verified account badge will be issued and appear in LINE in-app search results. Review applications are currently only being accepted for Indonesia, Japan, Taiwan, and Thailand. Verified accounts are not being issued for other countries or regions at this time.
- Unverified accounts – These are the accounts that have not been reviewed. Unverified accounts can be used by anyone, regardless of whether they are an individual or a company. However, they do not appear in LINE in-app search results.
Businesses can create up to 100 accounts (Verified or Unverified) with one LINE Business ID. Accounts created using the LINE Official Account app are initially Unverified and need to pass the review process to get Verified.
