Working with 100+ languages in a single model allows the AI to function more accurately in practice over multiple dialects. Also, it can cope with mixed languages, such as Singaporean dialects that mix English with local and Chinese words.
For specific languages/dialects, we can work with our customers to fine-tune the models with additional data.
Additionally, instead of limiting training data to academic datasets, Sinch trains the models using data from real-world messaging businesses, which significantly enhances performance for our customers’ use cases.
