Locate the Manufacture Date of your

Polycom Device

Poly VVX phones contain a device security certificate that is valid for 15 years from the manufacture date. Once that certificate expires, the phone will no longer be able to securely connect to our service.
Checking the manufacture date helps identify devices that may be approaching this limit.
Important - We recommend replacing the device as soon as the manufacturer publishes an End of Support date.
The manufacture date is the 8-digit number in YYYYMMDD format next to the barcode.
1
Locate the Manufacturer Label
Turn the phone over to locate the smaller white label on the bottom or back of the phone. This label will also include the MAC address of the phone.
2
Locate the Manufacturer Date
The 8-digit number is the manufacture date in YYYYMMDD format.
Example: 20160505 (05/05/2016)
3
Calculate the Expiration Date
Add 15 to the manufacture year to identify when that factory certificate expires.
Example: 20160505 (05/05/2016) + 15 years = May 5th, 2031
