On August 12, 2024, the Customer Administration Portal will be updated with enhancements and fixes.
For customers with SIP Trunks, the E911 addresses associated with the numbers can now be updated in bulk. A new Import CSV option is now available in the portal, in the SIP Trunking, E911 Service menu:
Click Download CSV to download a template CSV file to fill in:
For any updates, enter the Address1, Address2, City, State and PostalCode fields. Change the E911Status field to Enabled to add the address to the PhoneNumber on that row. You can also add an email address for who to be notified if 911 or 933 is called from that number. Optionally, you can remove any rows for numbers that you don’t need to change or don’t want to add an address to.
NOTE: For PostalCode values beginning with a “0” (zero), specify the field type as Text in Excel or the leading 0 will be removed.
The 911 addresses are updated as a background task, so check back periodically to see if the update has completed yet. If the update succeeds, you will see your addresses populated against the specified numbers in the E911 Service settings. If any addresses where invalid, you’ll see the following or similar:
In the above case, 2 addresses have failed validation. Click the Download link to retrieve the list of 911 addresses. “Invalid Address” will appear in a new column next to any addresses that failed. Please check those addresses and make any changes to your original import, then import again.
When configuring a Hosted Fax, Personal Fax or any Cloud Fax service, a new option to save the file in TIF/tiff is available:
Note that due to the much larger size of TIF files, attachments for email-to-fax will continue to be the PDF version of the fax. The TIF/tiff versions can be downloaded from the portal. Additionally, the TIF files will consume more storage on the account, so enable this feature only if needed per account.
