3-5 second delay between call answer and TTS start when using AMD asynchronously in outbound calls

Hi !

I'm experiencing a significant delay when using Answering Machine Detection (AMD) in asynchronous mode for outbound calls.

Setup:

  • Using AMD with async mode in outbound calls
  • TTS configured to play after call is answered

Issue: After the call is answered, there's a 3-5 second delay before the TTS starts playing. This creates an awkward silence that negatively impacts the user experience.

Questions:

  1. Is this delay expected behavior when using AMD in async mode?
  2. Are there any configuration options or best practices to reduce this delay?

Any guidance on how to improve the responsiveness would be greatly appreciated.
