NetNumber ID (NNID) is a 6 digit number that is assigned by NetNumber where left most 1-3 digits represent country code and remaining digits are sequentially assigned service provider ID. NNID also defines which carrier the number belongs to.

 

Apart from uniquely identifying the service provider for a particular dialled number, the service also supports global portability correction, global code-range data, and North American MVNO-OTT override data for text messaging.
