As of November 2024, you no longer have to specify that subsequent messages will be sent via WhatsApp when collecting opt-ins.
You must still:
- Comply with all local laws.
- Collect the recipient's mobile phone number prior to messaging the recipient.
- Collect the recipient's consent to receive subsequent messages prior to messaging recipient. However, you no longer have to specify that those subsequent messages will be delivered on WhatsApp.
