When you add a user to an account in the Sinch Customer Dashboard, invite another user to your Sinch account, or update an existing users role you'll be presented with five levels of access (user type roles) to choose from:

User role

Dashboard access level

Project access level

Administrator

Full access to all parts of Sinch dashboard

Has access to all Projects

Member

Access to all parts of Sinch dashboard except User management

Has access to assigned Projects

Support Member

Access only to SMS message search and analytics page in Sinch dashboard

Has access to assigned Projects

Associate

Access to all parts of Sinch dashboard except User management and billing

Has access to assigned Projects

IT Admin

Access only to User management page in Sinch dashboard

Has access to all Projects

Each user role offers a different level of access to the Sinch dashboard and any projects associated with it:

Administrator

The administrator user role is best suited for business owners as it provides access to the entire dashboard. When you open your Sinch account your first user will be assigned Administrator user role.

Member

The member user role is ideal for developers and users who are primarily using the Sinch APIs as it grants access to the entire dashboard, except for user management.

Support Member

The support member user role is primarily utilised by employees in support departments for troubleshooting purposes. They can access the SMS message search and analytics page to ensure that everything is running smoothly with the traffic they are using.

Associate

The associate user role is perfect for all users who are not authorised to view sensitive information, such as user management and billing details. If you don't want one of your employees to see how much money you have on your Sinch account this would be ideal user role for that.

IT Admin

The IT Admin role is primarily used by internal IT departments within larger companies, as they only need to add or remove new users from the Sinch account. This typically occurs when an employee joins the company, leaves the company, or changes departments.
