Push to Talk vs. Paging

Group Paging enables you to broadcast one-way audio announcements to users who are subscribed to a specific page group. Push-to-Talk (PTT) is a collaborative tool typically used with wireless handset phones, enabling you to exchange broadcasts with users subscribed to a PTT channel, much like a walkie-talkie.

Paging is a device related feature found on Poly phones. It must be set up on each device that will use it.

To set it up on your Poly device, follow these steps:

Go to Administration Settings.
Go to Advanced (you will need to know the password).
Go to Administration Settings > Paging/PTT Configuration > Paging Configuration.
Enable Group Paging.
Set paging groups as you see fit.
Save.

Repeat these steps for every phone you want to be in those groups.
