How to subscribe for Sinch Status page alerts?

We recommend you subscribe to the Sinch Status Page to ensure you will be updated every time we create, update and close a notification which may impact you.

Click the SUBSCRIBE TO UPDATES button at the top of the Status page. A dialog box is displayed which allows you to subscribe using a variety of channels.

Email

Select the e-mail icon:

Enter your email address, click SUSBCRIBE VIA EMAIL and notifications will be sent out to you by e-mail.

SMS

Select the phone icon:

Enter your mobile number, click SUSBCRIBE VIA TEXT MESSAGE and will get notifications sent straight to your phone.

Slack

Select the Slack icon:

Click SUBSCRIBE VIA SLACK and enter your workspace’s Slack URL, sign in and choose a channel. Notifications will be sent out to you in Slack.

Webhook

Select the webhook icon:

Webhook notifications are sent as HTTP POST requests to the registered URL, which can be used to update an internal app you have or can be set to go to a MS Teams channel etc.

The requests sent to your endpoint will include a JSON payload with details about the event, which could look like this:

Subscribing to webhook notifications is a great way to keep multiple people up to date.

You also need to provide an email address, but this is only so we can let you know if the webhook fails.

Atom/RSS feed

Select the RSS feed icon:

Click the Atom Feed or the RSS Feed link and it will take you to the code for the Atom or RSS feed.

Select your components

Once you have subscribed to one of these channels, the next step is to select the notifications you would like to receive:

You can select the individual components to get notifications about when they are affected in an incident or maintenance, so you can tailor the notifications to ensure you only receive the ones you require. In the example above, select which API endpoints should send notifications; for instance, if you connect only to our SMPP - US endpoints, deselect the others to avoid notifications from them.

Important information regarding Component Groups:

External connectivity - Sinch will use these components to announce external maintenances and incidents within our major carrier network, or if a Sinch internal incident causes disruption to our carrier network.
API Groups (Messaging API, Conversation API etc) - Sinch uses these components to announce direct maintenances and incidents that impact customer-facing APIs. We recommend subscribing only to the regional API endpoints you actively use. Use the quest mark tooltip to identify which FQDN belongs to each component.
Dashboard.sinch.com and similar groups - Subscribe to these components for updates about our self-serve services, support portal, and analytics tools.

If you do not deselect any components and subscribe to all, you will automatically subscribe to any future components when they are created.

If you customize your subscription, you will not automatically receive updates for new components.

When signed up and the options have been selected, it’s important you activate your subscription by verifying the method you have selected (for email/SMS).

Once verification completes, you will be ready to receive notifications.

Manage your subscription

For email

After you verify your email subscription, you receive a confirmation containing a link to manage it:

And when you receive email updates, a link to manage your subscription appears at the bottom of each message:

Click the link to view the page listing the components you subscribe to. On that page, select or deselect components to change your subscription.

For SMS

Each SMS notification you receive includes a link. You can follow this link to visit the subscription management page, where you can update your preferences or unsubscribe from specific components or all SMS updates.

For Webhook

Each webhook notification includes a documentation URL and link to unsubscribe. To update subscription preferences, contact Sinch Support.
