When creating a broadcast campaign (New Campaigns->Broadcast), select the Schedule tab and ensure that you use the Advance Scheduling option (highlighted in red below) to send the campaign out in parts:

This will ensure smoother processing of the messages, lesser queue build ups along with other benefits.
