6/12/2026 - Optional "X" headers

Sinch Elastic SIP Trunks may now include optional "X" headers placed into calls from their SIP trunk. Configure this under your trunks inbound call settings. Once done, all calls to your Sinch provided numbers will have that header and value placed into them.

6/10/2026 - Preferred locations

Sinch Elastic SIP Trunks may now select a preferred location that would like calls to be sent to them from. We use geo-DNS to select our routes if no preference is set on the endpoint.

5/27/2026 - Change to hunting SIP rejection codes

The Sinch Elastic SIP Trunking product hunts through endpoints in order of priority whenever the customer’s infrastructure rejects, or fails to respond to, a SIP Invite request. Currently, the platform hunts on most SIP rejection codes. Read more about the code hunting behavior here.

3/20/2026 - SIP REFER Support
