Interesting question for us as well.

The previous 2011 release notes states that there is Sinch SMS support. We haven't yet been able to use that in production environments yet. So far we have been using Twilio and some other smaller local SMS operators.

Maybe Sinch CC will have support for Sinch Conversation API or that Sinch SMS already is utilizing Sinch Conversation API?

Guys, to implement SMS channel in Sinch CC can we use any SMS gateway or are we rather limited to specific SMS services only, like SMS365 or Twilio?

Hi Piotr,

SCC has built-in SMS channels for: (state of 2102 release)

Sinch Conversation API (will be available in 2102 release)

Sinch SMS API

SMS365

Social365

Twilio

ETA for 2102 release is end of Fevruary 2021.

If you wish to use some other SMS or even social media provider, then you need to build an app that speaks one of the in-build protocols towards us and something else towards provider. Example flow could be (incoming) your SMS provider -> your app -> SMS365 interface in SCC.

This answer applies also to upcoming On Premise release, aka FP17.

BR,

Jukka

//added later//

PS. forgot to mention that Roman has experience on doing an app I was refering to.

If you wish we can work it together.

Sinch Conversation API is goming in 2102 release, ETA end of Fevruary 2102. Currently it has SMS, FB, WA and Viber. They have plans to include much more.

BR,

Jukka
